The aircraft carries pilot plus one passenger - this option is for two people allowing both to enjoy a flight. Each flight is to a local lake near Commerce allowing low level views of the countryside, on the return we climb to 3000ft allowing on a clear day distant views of the Georgia mountains and Lake Lanier, followed by a gently descent and landing at the Jackson County Airport.
This flight is again to the local lake near Commerce with more time spent circling the lake at low level. The aircraft is then climbed to 6000ft allowing even better distant views of the Georgia mountains and Lake Lanier. Once at 6000ft the engine will be reduced to idle allowing a gently glide down to 500ft followed by some flying over open fields and farmland, then a return and landing at the airport. Some steeper aircraft maneuvers can be demonstrated if requested by the passenger.
The flight is a little over an hour, the extra time allows a flight to scenic Lake Lanier. The flight will incorporate a gradually climb to 6000ft above the Lake, allowing spectacular views of the whole lake. The engine will then be reduced to idle allowing a gently glide down to Aqua Marina followed by a low level flight to Holiday Marina, Lake Lanier islands and the Buford Dam. The return flight is back to the airport with great views of the Georgia countryside.
The flight is about 1 hour 30 minutes - we fly to Cleveland getting great views of the upper Chattahoochee river and the northern end of Lake Lanier. Once at Cleveland we will climb to 7000ft allowing an unbeatable view of the Georgia Mountains and on a clear day Lake Hiawassee - at 7000ft the engine will be reduced to idle and there will be a gently glide down to Helen. After circling Helen (which has the look of Bavarian Alpine Village) we fly low over some open fields then climb, and fly past a hill with a large granite wall, perhaps seeing ascending climbers. We then descend to fly over Lake Laceola and finally back to the airport again flying over the Chattahoochee river.
•Note the aircraft carries the Pilot and One rear seat occupant.•All ages can fly - we have flown people as young as 14 and as old as 85 years.•There is a maximum rear seat occupant weight limit of 220lb.•Customers can take their own videos but the camera must have a safety strap.•On request Videos of the flight are available from one camera mounted on the Pilot’s helmet and a second camera mounted on the wing which provides a view of the aircraft and occupants.•These flights provide an ideal introduction to Light Sport Flying. Your FAA Certified Flight Instructor will provide a pre-flight briefing which will include an explanation of the aircraft controls.•During the flight your Flight Instructor will demonstrate the stability of the aircraft and the us eof the control bar for straight and level flight and gentle turns’•On the longer flights you are welcome to take the controls and see how easy it is to manuever the aircraft

•The Aircraft is a P&M Aviation GTR Weight Shift Control (WSC) Light Sport Aircraft, it meets the FAA Light Sport ASTM standards and also meets the strict UK BCAR Section S airworthiness standards.•Every 100 hours the aircraft is inspect by and FAA Certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) technitian.•Power is a 100hp 4 stroke Rotax 912S aircraft engine, these engines are very reliable and in 30 years flying I’ve never had a Rotax engine fail. •In the very unlikly event of an engine stoppage the aircraft acts like a Hang Glider and can be glided and landed into any small field - a great safety feature.•Similar aircraft have also been flown long distances notably two around the world flights and a number flights UK to Australia - sometimes throught severe weather conditions.

•Two Seat Weight Shift Control (WSC) aircraft are classified as Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) and require a FAA Issued Sport Pilot Licence to fly.• Single seat WCS aircraft are normally under the Ultralight (FAA FAR 103) 256 lb maximum empty weight limit and do not require a FAA license to fly - but thorough training is highly recommended - Atlanta Sport Flying LLC can provide Sport Pilot or Ultralight training - 7 days a week weather permitting•The Sport Pilot License requires a minimum of 15 hours dual instruction and 5 hours solo time followed by a practical test which is straight forward using a WSC Trike. Training has three main steps:-oTraining for solo flightoDual and Solo cross countriesoPreparation for the practical test
